Brainard Lake Colorado Engagement Session | Rachel & Travis

Hiking around Brainard Lake with Rachel and Travis was so much fun! When Rachel reached out to me about scheduling their engagement session, she said they wanted a location with lots of fall colors. Even though they are not getting married in Colorado, they wanted to take their photos in the state where they met. 

Brainard Lake Engagement Session

We chose to take the photos at Brainard Lake in Ward, CO. Brainard Lake did not disappoint! It is very popular for its beautiful views and high elevation. It is most popular in the summer months of July and August, but we had the most perfect fall day! Not too hot, not too cold, and all the beautiful yellow leaves you could ask for. The Colorado mountain views were stunning in almost every shot!

These two are the sweetest couple! We loved exploring around the lake and getting some amazing shots. They are tying the knot next year in Louisiana and I couldn’t be more excited for them!
