What to Do With Your Engagement Photos

I absolutely adore engagement sessions, they’re one of my favorite things to capture! In fact, I am a big believer in engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do you end up with beautiful photos, but it’s a chance for you to get to know your photographer before the wedding day. Your photographer will be with you more than anyone else on your wedding day – maybe even more than your spouse, so it’s important to vibe well together. The engagement session is a no pressure environment to get to know each other and make sure you click.

In addition to getting to know your photographer, your photographer will get to know you. They will get to know you as a couple and how you interact with each other. Knowing how you interact as a couple will help your photographer guide you through photos that feel truly genuine and authentic rather than stiff and posed.

So you’ve done your engagement session and received your gallery of images, now what? You don’t want to just let those photos sit in your online gallery to never be seen again, right? Here are 7 ways to get the most from your photos!

Save the Dates

This is one of my favorite ways to use your engagement photos. All of my clients can design and design their custom save the dates directly through their online gallery. You can also use websites like Minted. Keep in mind save the dates should be sent 4-6 months before your wedding date, so plan your engagement session accordingly.

Your Home

There is no better way to use your engagement session photos than to print them and use them in your home. Whether it’s a gallery wall, a framed print or a custom coffee table album, you will be able to see them and enjoy them every day.

Guest Book

Speaking of coffee table albums, why not create an album that your guests can sign? Add it to the welcome table at your wedding and have your guests sign the pages and leave a note as soon as they arrive.

Wedding Decor

The possibilities are endless! Frame different prints to add to each table along with the table numbers, include them on your welcome table or gift table or even create custom wedding favors.

Wedding Website

Your guests will visit your wedding website for everything from driving directions to the reception to your registry. Why not customize your site with photos of you and your boo?

Gifts

Frame a beautiful print or create a custom album to gift to your parents or grandparents – they’ll be thrilled to receive it!
