Kate and Matt’s wedding welcome party was one I will certainly never forget. Not only because they are such a fun couple with incredible style and the sweetest friends and family, but because we were surrounded by an actual wildfire for their entire wedding weekend. Flames and smoke were visible over the hills through the weekend. Thankfully, the fire remained contained and everything was able to continue as planned!
Rustic Wedding Welcome Party
All of the events for the weekend were hosted at Alisal Guest Ranch in Solvang, California. The welcome party kicked off their wedding weekend celebrations was a casual, fun, cowboy-chic affair. It was a great opportunity for the couple to mingle with all of the friends and out-of-town guests. Everyone dressed in rustic cowboy-themed outfits and wore their cowboy boots.
One of the highlights for the party was a table full of various candies like gummy bears, gummy worms, and M & Ms. Not only was it beautiful in various glass jars, it was so delicious. It was a nice touch to have a bag with a hand-drawn picture of their dog for guests to take the candy to go! Another highlight of the welcome party was the wood-fired pizza truck. Their guests enjoyed freshly made pizza for dinner while playing yard games like cornhole and Jenga.
We were still keeping an eye on the fire the entire time and could hear helicopters flying overhead. I am so glad everything worked out for this couple and they were able to have a weekend they dreamed of. Huge shoutout to Chabeli and the entire P.S.
