Darcy and Hunter’s elopement at Lost Gulch Overlook is not your typical elopement. Actually, it’s not technically and elopement at all. When Darcy first reached out to me to book a session, she told me they were traveling to Colorado from the midwest and wanted to book a session to document their trip. Great, I loved it! Fast forward to the day of their session when they casually mentioned they had eloped at the top of a mountain by themselves the day before. Amazing, right?
So in honor of their trip and their new marriage, they wanted some photos in Colorado and I was honored be their photographer! I had so much fun getting to know these two and hearing all about their special day. Right after their ceremony, they also got matching tattoos on their ring fingers.
I was so happy we chose to do their session at Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder because Colorado was definitely showing off. In true Colorado fashion though, we watched a summer storm roll in right at the end of their session toward sunset. It made for a few incredible shots before we ran for the car and just barely missed the rain.
Let me just say, if you’re thinking about an elopement at Lost Gulch Overlook (or any type of session!), this is your sign to do it!
