A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing Heagie and Tuong’s wedding at the Oaks at Plum Creek. I say this all the time, but I absolutely loved working with this sweet couple.
When I first started chatting with Heagie about their wedding, the Oaks was not the venue they had booked for their day. Due to some hiccups in the planning process, they ended up switching their venue to The Oaks at Plum Creek and I am so happy they did! The Oaks at Plum Creek feels like it was designed with photographers in mind. It has bright light and white spaces everywhere, big windows, a perfectly positioned outdoor ceremony site and beautiful, modern interior design.
I loved that Heagie and Tuong opted for a bright, colorful theme to really showcase their fun personalities. The bridesmaids chose their own floral dresses which complimented the full, wildflower bouquets and french blue groomsmen suits. It was such an honor to capture Heagie and Tuong’s beautiful wedding at the Oaks at Plum Creek, congrats to the newlyweds!
Their proposal, from the bride:
We have been long distance for 4 years between Omaha and Houston. One night I got a call to meet him at my apartment lounge. This was a surprise, because I did not expect him to be there in Omaha. I thought he was in Houston. When I walked in he had pictures of us hanging from the walls with a bunch of candles. He was standing at the end of the room holding a bouquet of flowers.
