If you’re anything like me, by the time summer rolls around, you’re always looking for easy ways to get the kids out of the house without spending a fortune.

Splash pads are one of our favorite summer activities and we’ve been looking for the best splash pads near Parker. They’re free (or very affordable), perfect for toddlers and big kids alike, and make for an easy morning or afternoon adventure.

Whether you’re in Parker, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, or Centennial, here are a few of my favorite spots to cool off this summer.

1. Discovery Park – Parker

If you’re local to Parker, you’ve probably visited Discovery Park at least once—but if you haven’t, it’s definitely worth adding to your summer bucket list.

Located right in the heart of downtown Parker next to the library, Discovery Park has interactive water features that are perfect for younger kids. There’s plenty of open space to run around, nearby restaurants for lunch, and you can even stop into the library afterward if you need a break from the heat. Discovery Park

2. Civic Green Park – Highlands Ranch

This is one of those parks where you could easily spend half the day.

The interactive fountains are always a hit, but there’s so much more than just the water. Kids can explore the playground, run through the creek, or enjoy the open grassy areas while parents relax nearby. 3. Centennial Center Park – Centennial

If I had to recommend just one splash pad for families with kids of multiple ages, this might be it.

The splash pad is huge, there’s an incredible playground, climbing features, swings, restrooms, shaded seating, and plenty of room to spread out. It’s one of those parks where everyone can find something they enjoy. Centennial Center Park

4. Clement Park Splash Pad – Littleton

Clement Park is a longtime family favorite in Littleton.

The splash pad is located near multiple playgrounds, wide walking paths, picnic areas, and a beautiful lake. If you’re planning a longer outing, this is a great option because there’s plenty to do even after the kids are finished playing in the water. Clement Park Splash Pad

Bonus: H2O’Brien Pool – Parker

If you’re looking for something a little bigger than a splash pad, H2O’Brien Pool is a fun upgrade.

With water slides, a zero-depth entry, a large play structure, concessions, and plenty of shaded seating, it’s a great option for an entire afternoon. Admission is required, but it’s a favorite for many local families.

• Bring water shoes—many splash pads have concrete surfaces that can get hot.
• Don’t forget sunscreen and towels.
• Arriving earlier in the morning usually means fewer crowds.
• Pack snacks or a picnic so you can stay longer.
